Politicians in Europe are setting ambitious targets for CO₂ savings, and companies are also increasingly proving to be the driving force behind climate protection. Demand from industry for renewable energies is also growing rapidly. "For example, we just advised an automotive supplier on its entry into wind power", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group.
The cost advantage of renewables over fossil fuels is expected to grow. Although plants for the production of green electricity have recently become significantly more expensive, wind and solar projects are much cheaper than new coal or gas-fired power plants. "In the long term, renewables will be able to extend their advantage even further", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group.
The advance of green investments is unstoppable. Last year, their volume doubled in Europe, and political requirements necessitate further growth. Meanwhile, June brought rich energy returns to the solar industry, particularly in Germany. "This sector once again demonstrates the importance of diversifying investments", explains Markus W. Voigt, CEO of aream Group.
Inflation rates are rising, central banks are countering with interest rate hikes, and some experts therefore see the economy sliding into recession. "Investors in renewable energies are not at all frightened by such a scenario", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of aream Group. "On the contrary, green energy investments are one of the best ways to escape inflation and recession."
