The Senior Management
Markus W. Voigt founded aream in 2005 and has more than 25 years’ experience in structuring alternative investment funds, transaction management and financing. Before founding the aream Group Markus W. Voigt was CEO and co-founder of Ideenkapital AG – an Asset-Manager for alternative investments that is majority-owned by the Ergo insurance group.

Patrick has over 16 years of experience in the energy transition sector. He joined the group in 2009 and was appointed Co-CEO after serving as CIO. Prior to that, he held positions at Fortress Investment Group (Private Equity), Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (Leverage Finance), and UBS AG (M&A).

Since 2010 René Kautz has advised on well over 20 complex transactions with a total volume of around two billion euros in the financing of renewable energies. Kautz gained international expertise through the implementation of infrastructure investments and market entries throughout the Eurozone as well as a one-year stay in Singapore. Previously René Kautz was Senior Vice President of the Project Finance team at Hamburg Commercial Bank. In addition to the Energy Markets division, Kautz will be responsible for Retail Sales, Human Resources and Joint Venture Management.

Reiner Brüling has more than 15 years’ experience in the fields of management accounting, auditing and asset management. Following his role as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and in the real estate asset management division of AXA Investment Managers, he was Senior Controller at the aream Group from 2016 to 2018, where he was responsible for fund and investment portfolio management. This was followed by three years as a Senior Financial Manager at the SIGNA Group, before he returned to aream in October 2021 as Director of Controlling. A graduate in business administration, he is an expert in fund reporting, integrated financial planning and business valuation.

Andreas Ehrbar is a mechanical engineer bringing a wide range of experience and skillsets to the table from around 20 years of service, including more than five years in wind energy. Before joining aream in 2022 he held various management positions in the service sector, such as, among others, the wind turbine segment of Senvion, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and BKW Wind Service GmbH.

Thomas Hopp is an attorney (member of the Düsseldorf Bar) and has been working for more than 15 years in international M&A, fund structuring and management of companies in the renewable energy sector. He has been working for aream since 2006. The General Counsel and authorized signatory of aream is also managing director of various group companies.

Falko Krause holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering and an M.Sc. (Eng.) in Innovation and Business. He has more than 17 years’ experience in the photovoltaic sector and combines technical expertise with innovation management and asset structuring. His expertise covers the entire lifecycle of PV projects: from project development and the structuring of special-purpose vehicles, through the transition of projects ready for construction into the construction and commissioning phases, to asset management and the technical and economic optimisation of operations. Previously, he was CTO of GME clean power AG and COO of GME Ventures AG, where he was responsible for the development of solar projects. At IBC Solar, he headed the EPC and O&M divisions. He holds a TÜV qualification for the assessment of photovoltaic systems and has been involved in international solar projects across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Fabian Pramel has been dealing with German planning law for over ten years - initially in a planning office and later as an independent consultant for public and private clients. He studied architecture and urban planning and has in-depth knowledge of the legal and procedural framework conditions in project development. He has been part of aream since 2023 and is responsible in particular for internal processes and critical paths in the development of renewable energy projects.

Jörn Preuth studied electrical engineering in Aachen and has been working in the field of project development for wind energy projects for 15 years. Before joining aream, he worked as a division manager at project developer Windwärts Energie GmbH and as a regional manager for the strategic orientation of project development at BayWa r.e. Wind GmbH.

Michael Reck studied economics at the University of Bremen and has more than ten years’ experience in the renewable energy sector. Before joining aream, he was a member of the Executive Board at GME Ventures AG, where he oversaw the development and structuring of photovoltaic projects. Prior to that, he served on the Executive Board of GME clean power AG as Chief Business Development Officer and was responsible for repowering and project development at ADLER Solar Services. His professional background lies in IT and management consultancy. As Investment Director at aream, he combines entrepreneurial experience and in-depth project development expertise with the economic evaluation and structuring of investments in renewable energy projects.

Christian Schnaidt joined the company in 2008 as COO and was responsible for the operation of photovoltaic and wind power plants. In 2022, he took over the management of Aream Advisory with a focus on the development of photovoltaic projects.
Prior to this, he held management positions at renowned companies such as DEKRA, Viag-Interkom, Deutsche Bahn and Conergy, where he gained extensive experience in the areas of infrastructure, energy and project management.

Clemens Susen was previously Head of Investments at Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH, where he was responsible for acquisitions in the wind energy sector as part of the German management team. He brings extensive experience in the renewable energy and infrastructure investment industry, including from his time at EY. His focus is on the successful implementation of complex platform and portfolio transactions.

Tim Van den Brande has extensive experience in leading sales positions at various investment banks such as JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch and Kleinwort Benson. Most recently, he was Managing Director at investment manager GEG German Real Estate and Head of Institutional Capital Raising at Munich-based asset manager KGAL Capital.

Bernhard Wilhelm has more than 25 years’ experience in the areas of finance, accounting and reporting. Before aream he worked at OVB AG as the Head of Project Management and then at Ideenkapital AG as Head of Finance and Administration. Bernhard Wilhelm has been at aream since 2012.
