Energiesysteme Groß GmbH & Co. KG, or ESG for short, has found a long-term buyer for its solar power with the support of aream Group SE. At the same time, the two companies are entering into a strategic partnership.

aream Group SE has secured a buyer for the solar power generated by the ESG group, which is based in Niestetal near Kassel in Hesse: a Berlin-based energy supplier will purchase 19 MWp from a PV portfolio comprising three solar parks under a ten-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). It took less than two months from the initial mandate to the signing of the contract.

“The negotiations proceeded exceptionally quickly and were, at the same time, technically demanding”, says René Kautz, CCO of the aream Group. This is anything but a given in this market. “The structured approach of all parties involved enabled us to finalise a viable and future-proof purchase agreement in record time.”

At ESG, Managing Director Björn Groß emphasises: “The collaboration with aream and our new contractual partner was constructive, pragmatic and solution-oriented from the very start. This PPA marks the successful launch of a strategic partnership – another portfolio is already in the pipeline and we look forward to further joint projects.”
